Hi
MAM included a .dwg autocad file in the answer to a question.
Has anyone solved the problem of how to view such a file? I don't have
autocad.
Have tried a few freeware viewers but so far no luck.

thanks
Ken

Ken, Group

This has been a thorn in our sides in our office since one of our technical
partners insists on sending us files in this format, there seem to be a
couple of
solutions, the first is to download the Autodesk View

Hi Ken..

I own a CAD business.. If you want to send me the DWG file, I can
re-save it to a DWF(Drawing Web Format), which can be viewed using
software available(free) on the following web sites.

http://www.autodesk.com/products/whip/index.htm
http://www.cadviewer.com/

Do any of the programs you have read a DXF file?

If it is a fairly simple drawing, I could also save it to a BMP, JPG, or
any other graphics file.

Lots of options.. Let me know what I can do to help..

Dave

Thanks very much David R. and David Q.
Will try the long Autodesk download first since we're pretty sure that will
work. The file is an engine thrust line sketch (about 180 kb.). I think at
least
one other person here may want it as well.
You guys are great!
Ken

Hi Ken,
If you just need to view the files, why not ask MAM to post them on their
web site as .jpg? Then they would be available to everyone as well.
