Moving Rebel Firewall 3"

Walter,

As for the firewall issue I'm just a stubborn bastard about it being left
where it was originally positioned. Moving it back makes the panel get
pushed back 3" as well as the rudder pedals. This equates into the seats
having to be positioned 3 " further back etc and you have to lean forward
that much more to get a good look up through the windshield for traffic. Few
other issues , but all personal. This firewall moving by MAM was supposed to
be simply because of the weight of the O-320 vs the O-235 and I disproved
that issue with my O-235 installations W & B and then installing an O-320
with all the lightweight goodies. Moving the battery from my firewall to the
rear of the fuselage would have duplicated the exact C of G empty....... so
I've never bought into the need to move the firewall.

Now if I could just find the time to move the battery to the back (3 years
later), I could quit using full up elevator trim when I pull the power to
idle and come in for a landing in C-GDJK!! :O)

Not sure what all you guys hate about the firewall back 3 inches.
I know the visibility is a bit worse in a bank, but it's not
great on the regular Rebel anyways.
