Hi Eric,

The C of G is OK on mine to load it right up, but space can be a problem
sometimes. the Rebel can take such a big load that you can stack it right
to the roof in the luggage compartment and it can be a little hard to secure
sometimes, especially with the flaperon mixer in the position that it is.

I thought a bolt on cargo pod may be just what the doctor ordered, on some
occasions.

I am very interested as well. Just to introduce myself, I
am finishing up the stabilizer on my Elite (645E). Picked
up my crate a month ago and am having a great time in
the workshop.

The Rebel and Elite have more payload ability than the
C.G. seems to allow within the plane. A cargo pod like
the Cessna 185 would be very useful.

Hi Alister !

As far as I know, no one has used a pod on the Rebel. I have seen
streamlined tubes (like a small bomb) mounted below the gear cross-braces
on a Renegade, and on several Kitfoxes.

My wife has suggested on several occasions that we needed "wing racks"
for the excess baggage on the Rebel - like 'roof racks' on a car !! :-) :-)

Perhaps one could modify one of the streamlined automotive roof-mounted
boxes, and mount it upside down on the belly ....

We have, on occassion, loaded a lot of bulky, but light, stuff BEHIND
the 'curtain' of the baggage area, as long as it is securely tied.
(sleeping bags, fishing rods, .... )
