Hi Doug
I weigh it on a scrap of aluminum with a triple beam scale, then mix it with
a
screwdriver. Of course you must allow for the aluminum weight too. It would
be
difficult to measure the volume of anything so sticky but I bet someone has
a
way to do it. Another tip from the last Brampton Rebel builder's meeting
(assuming you refrigerate or freeze the stuff) was to insure that the
pro-seal
is warm enough that it won't condense any moisture when you open the can.
Have fun
Ken

I made a balance beam using pennies and bathroom plastic cups. Glue the
small Pill cup for holding 10 or 20 pennies and then add the pro-seal, add 1
or 2 cents and add part B. Balance cups first. Mix and put into a sandwich
bags corner. Cut corner and use like a cake decorator.

I have the extended tanks and used the two standard access holes to seal the
corners. I put the tank skin on with a bead of proseal on both the tank
skin and the mating surface of the ribs and spar. Then used the access
holes to put stringer clips inside the tank (difficult job and have blanked
the bad experience from memory). Then with proseal on a finger formed a
fillet where I could reach. The key places were the four inside corners of
the tank. My pressure tests went well with no leaks.

Hello All,

We ordered the extended fuel tanks for our SR2500 and we were wondering
how to access the corners to fillet once the tanks are closed up? We
have two access holes in a four bay tank and solid ribs! How are we
supposed to get to the other two bays?

Drew,

Has anyone in this group seen a WHIMIS fact sheet for pro-seal? What are the
health risks involved?

I'm not sure what a WHIMIS fact sheet is, but I printed several pages of
Tech Data, and an Application Guide from PRC DeSoto Aerospace Sealants at
www.prc-desoto.com . They manufacture Pro-Seal. Hope this helps.

Roger thanks for the info I e-mailed desoto to ask for more info. In canada
WHMIS stands for workplace hazardous materials information system and every
company must supply a sheet stating what hazardous compounds are in their
product and safe handling methods. Drew
