CLAMAR composite floats

Just thought I'd update anyone that had an ear to their monitor as to the
outcome of the possibility of CLAMAR making a 3500 amphib for the Moose (and
others in this weight range).
I received my EDO 3500 back on Friday and had a long talk with Clair Sceli.
He didn't have the commitment at this time to invest the R & D costs into
some new moulds, with only 3 or 4 guys willing to "put up or shut up". He
was hoping for at least 10 guys/gals to step up to the plate at this time!
They did lay up a bottom skin, off the proven fluted profile of my float, so
he has that in hand and would be adding it to the same style top and sides
of their current 2250 float if they were to go ahead and build the 3500. The
project isn't dead by any means, just delayed at this point waiting for more
interested parties to step forward. They are currently booked a year+ out
mfg'ng their 2250's, so the float style/construction has been getting good
acceptance in the market place and I am sure if they went ahead with a 3500
the same acceptance would take off.
If anyone is interested in the possiblity of CLAMAR making a 3500 please
send Clair an email directly at info@clamarfloats.com to advise him of your
interests, or view through http://www.clamarfloats.com/ website to see what
they are up to with the 2250's.
Cheers,
