Thanks, Wayne. It would be great to get some more
Rebels along on this trip, too. Maybe you should plan a
vacation out here next September. 2300 NM miles, should
be able to make it in two days, no problem, as long as
you don't have Bobp along (sorry, Bob, couldn't
resist). And wasn't Bobp supposed to put amphibs on
his?

Hi Walter

Looks like a great trip. What were the rates and are there any good camping
spots? Another pilot from Pemberton was up there this summer and said thet the
Coho were jumping in the boat. I am going to have to make it up there next
year!!

John Lovelace always works something out with the
resort owner, so we certainly weren't paying regular
rates. This year it was $50 per person per night, and
another $20 for food for the whole weekend. We also had
to donate to a charity set up to support Salmonoid
Enhancement. Not sure what Pierre or one of the other
resorts would charge if you went up on your own.

There was no camping at the resorts that I could see,
as they were just big floating barges and docks. At the
fishing spot, you could probably camp, but with all the
bears hanging out there, not sure if I would want to be
in a tent overnight.

Put it on your calendar for next year, usually about
the 2nd weekend in September. That's when the big
Northern Coho are at their peak.
