Hi Brad !

Sure they'll have a demo machine, or 2 or 3 .....

They always sell demos, usually after 3 years or so -
I know, 'cause I bought one of them !! Flew it for 10 years,
and never regretted it for a moment ! This is a great way to get
a machine that has all the latest mods and improvements, including
some stuff that still isn't available to everybody (the door panels...).

Most likely, they will use a Quick Build for the next demo
Moose, to showcase the quality - also, there's a possibility of
a quick-build Rebel demonstrator, with a Rotax 912-S, as this would
be THE ideal machine for the Sport Pilot category !! And maybe
a quick-build Elite ...

Those are only MY guesses, but I think they seem pretty
likely, given that they already sold a q-b Elite....

The Moose demo machine would have been for sale sooner,
as the factory had aready started to build a new demo Moose last
year - but it was re-directed to Bombardier, to meet their requirement
for a new Moose for their new engine ! Of course, we couldn't tell
anybody why we were still flying the old demo for another season -
non-disclosure agreements are everywhere !! Now Bombardier have
their demo, and I would guess that the factory is already working
away on <another> replacement Moose ...

Don't sweat it - but I would get your order in before
the price goes up again .... ;-) Delivery times are getting
much better - I hear 2 ships have already left the Phillipines,
so it might be possible to get a QB within 4-6 months !

Even with the normal teething problems, the Moose is one heck
of a bargain, especially if you look at $170K+ US for a lowly
C-172 - no comparison !!!

MAM's demonstator is for sale if anyone wants to ditch the building effort
and go flying tomorrow!

Asking $159,599US installed on the straight 3600's, with the wheel gear
thrown in the back for the flight home! About $218,500Cdn!

Guess I should get my butt back in the shop and get mine done on the 3500
EDO amphibs and be off to OSH next year with a big FOR SALE sign!

Didn't mean to start any rumours/stress Brad!!

They always sell demonstrators along the line.

You have to consider this SR has been in the air for about 5 years. Started
out as a SR2500 and was the test bed for the retrofit to a SR3500. Changed
from a Lycosauris to the M14 etc. Test bed for the float installation etc.
Time for a sale to put that money back into R&D I would suspect (and hope),
but I hear you about not returning emails/calls and LONG waits for back
orders. Still don't have all the parts I paid for in April for two sets of
Amphibs! Heck, that's only 6 months and float season is over anyhow :o(( !
