Trim tab horn Elite

Hi All

Thanks for all the comments. I'm just about to start my elevator, and I'll
be sure to beef it up a bit in this area.

On the problems with possible trim runaway, I'm planning to add a small
piezo sounder in the voltage supply lines down line of the switch, so I get
an audible alert when the trim is running. You can get these from places
like Tandy or Radio Shack.

I hear it's not really an issue with the Elite, but it's fun to try these
things. :-)

Hello Ralph ,
Maybe a fix for the Elite people who have not closed the trim skin would
be to add a another rib tail (riblet) as per your solution, about 70mm from
the end riblet and then place on top a doubler of about 70mm x 65 mm
riveting the doubler & the trim skin to the spar, riblet flanges & trim skin
at
the following edge, with say three equally spaced rivets around the four
edges; then riveting the trim horn on top of the trim skin & the doubler. As
for the existing Elite/Rebel people a skin doubler on top off the existing
trim skin.

Regards,
Greg Gordon.
