They look great, but I wonder how effective they really are on the Rebel
wing? I sure would be interested to hear more... Clay

Dave's tips are NOT drooped (drooped tips don't help much). They are
Hoerner tips - used on many aircraft (like Mooneys). They definitely
DO help.

One of the guys in our chapter made a crude set of Hoerner-style
tips out of aluminum, and, even with screws all over them, gained
3 mph on cruise, AND lowered his stall by 3 mph !!

These should be a great addition to the Rebel ! Even if they did
NOTHING for performance, they look GREAT, and are a lot easier to
install than the factory tips !!

Droop tips

Post by Jose & Terry » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:23 pm

Hello,

I am looking for the place to buy the hoerner wing tips, can anyone tell me where I could buy these for my Rebel? I have to install these instead of the droop tips.Maybe there is someone out there that could use my new uninstalled droop tips, I am selling them so if interested just e-mail me at tj22@mts.net

Thanks ahead of time

Jose

Hi Jose,
Dave Fife is the wing tip man. His business is called "3D Composite
Aircraft Parts Inc". Email aircrafttips @yahoo.com . He has a web sit as
well called 3dcomposite.stormpages.com .
Why have you decided against the droop tips? I've recently finished mine.
Cheers Mike
