Hi Drew !

I've heard that there were some bad parts in some pumps -
perhaps someone here with more recent experience remembers what
it was (valves ?) ...

You really don't want it to be tooooo tight - a few guys
had problems with overpressure on hot days !! It's a small volume,
and hot sun can push it way up there !!! Mine used to bleed off
to about 30 lb. over a couple of hours - suited me just fine.

Once parked, several builders move the valve to the center
to bleed off pressure, then return it to down......

Yes I'm sure there was a check valve problem that required staking the
ball bearings or replacement. Pretty sure MAM sent me new valves back in
99. Guess it doesn't matter if Drew already has new ones but holler if
you'd like me to look up the details.

Hi Bob
I don't think I'll be wandering to far from home for the next few hours
just incase I need to visit my toolbox again. I'd do eastern ont. if the
timeline wasn't so tight. I bought 2 new check valves in London today but I
won't have a chance to instal them until tommorrow afternoon. I'll be happy
if I can get the system to hold any pressure for an hour. right now it
bleeds to nothing in a couple mins.
