Hi Drew !
I've heard that there were some bad parts in some pumps -
perhaps someone here with more recent experience remembers what
it was (valves ?) ...
You really don't want it to be tooooo tight - a few guys
had problems with overpressure on hot days !! It's a small volume,
and hot sun can push it way up there !!! Mine used to bleed off
to about 30 lb. over a couple of hours - suited me just fine.
Once parked, several builders move the valve to the center
to bleed off pressure, then return it to down......
