Thought I would pass this on to the list as this seems to crop up all
the time!! YES the tubes need to be cut 1 1/2" SHORTER than the MAM
manual spells out. MAM spells out 28" and 28 1/4" to cut the tubes, but
they must be cut at 26 1/2" and 26 3/4" to work correctly!

Subject: Help plaese- aileron rigging

Wayne,
Getting close to flying and I need some more advice. I'm doing the final
rig on the ailerons and the control tubes that run from the aileron
horns in the top of the cabin to the aileron mixer are too long. I've
check all the measurements for the flap control arm and the tube that
runs along side the pilot. I am so dam sick of the the poor
instructions MAM has.

Any way the instructions call for the control tubes to be 28" and 28
1/4" respectively. This measurement is before adding the ends and the
rod end bearings.

The tubes end up being about 1 1/2" too long. I think the error is that
the overall length is suppose to be 28 and 28 1/4. I was just going to
wack them off. But I thought I would check first. Am I missing
something????

Regards and Thanks,

Fritz
