Glad to hear it Walter! That link I gave you to the fuel filter also had a
link to another one with bigger connectors... 1/8 and 5/32 if I remember
correctly. I'm sure one of them will work for you.

I had it up again tonight after cleaning out the
primer, and it seemed to be working fine. I did lots of
climbs and full throttle operation, and no sign of any
engine roughness. I would like to declare the problem
solved, but I was only up for 30 minutes, and I do
remember before when it worked for a full day, before
acting up again.

I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions,
though, and in particular Wayne, who fingered the
primer. Sure looks like that was the problem. Great
call, Wayne. I owe you another one.

Thanks, too, Mike, for the suggestion in the previous
message on the model plane filter. That should be
exactly what I need for the primer inlet line.

I will be doing more flying the next couple of
evenings, and looks like I will probably be in
Arlington on Saturday. I am going to try and meet up
with Bob P. and the Ramblers Thursday or Friday if they
are in the area.

There are several small clear filters made
for model aircraft use that would
probably be just about right for a primer
line. Don't know if you have a
hobby shop close buy, but I'm sure there's
got to be a decent sized one
somewhere in Vancouver. If not here is a

Walter,

Good to hear you'll be at Arlington Saturday. I'll be flying in tomorrow and
will look for you. Don't forget to get a copy of the special arrival
procedures for Saturday. I believe the Ramble plans on being at Arlington on Saturday
as well.

I hope you solved your fuel problem. You sound very optimistic.

Just got back from Chilliwack after meeting up with Bob
P. there on his Ramble. Put another 1 1/2 hours on it
today and everything is still looking good. However, as
you suggest, I'm still on the alert.

I think Bob and the Ramblers are headed to Arlington
tomorrow, Friday, and I'll be flying there on Saturday,
if all still looks good.
