Thought since I've had a few people fly around and try to find my "runway in
the forest" without success that I would post a couple pictures from the air
that I took a couple weeks ago.
That bright blue in the upper part (North) of the picture is the mouth to
Penetanguishene Harbour (Georgian Bay - Lake Huron). Our airfield/home is
basically in the center of a Peninsula of land between the towns of Penetang
and Midland with water in every direction except the 2miles or so between
the towns.
I also posted an aerial shot of the mural on the last operational Grain
Elevator (ADM milling) in the Midland Area that I showed Jeffrey Steenson
from the air a few weeks back. This is in the very "bottom" of the Midland
Harbour, beside the town dock, and depicts the Jesuit Priests offering
Christianity to the Indians. *I have a Jesuit/Indian village on my property
to the South/East of our runway.
Cheers,
Wayne
