Exhaust cracks

Alister, you mention the "new" system for supporting
the exhaust. Can you describe it a bit more for me,
please? Do you have any pics or diagrams? Currently, I
have mine supported from the motor mount with a
flexible hanger made from old hose material. It seems
to work OK for the left side, but obviously not for the
right. I did look at mounting it to the engine somehow,
but couldn't come up with a suitable solution.
Angus, sounds like you had the same problem as I have
with that exhaust. Let us know how the new one turns
out.

Hi Walter,
A thought on your exhaust
problems, my old exhaust system
cracked in the same place more than once, it
only came right after I put the
new system in they now use to support the
exhaust ( it all hangs off the
back of the engine ).
Do you have this? Mine is really good now.(
and I didn't have to buy the SS
system)
Cheers
Alister

My first step is to relocate the noisestarted thatthe alternator and see if that helps. Iwill try itlast night and should finish tonight, socouple of tinyagain this weekend. Got a gang of people out at our
cottage again this weekend, so it will be busy.
When I was under the cowl, I noticed agot weldedcracks starting again on my right exhaust pipe near
where the cross-over joins. Same one as II got thelast year near the same spot. So I will have to get
that fixed again before my upcoming trips.to sell manyold, old mild steel exhausts that MAM usedfor the newyears ago. Looks like I may have to springdrop a bit.stainless ones that all you guys now have. With the
