Great way to spend Thursday night !!

yahooo Test flew FYHO on floats for 2.9hrs. after work tonight. Climbed
up high and did some stalls and steep turns then practiced aproach speed
and attitude then back to centralia for a couple touch and goes. That went
so well I headed over to Wildwood lake near St.Marys for some splash and
goes. Everything leaks and I need to repitch my prop but I can't get this
silly grin off my face.
Drew Like Curt says keep it up it's really worth it.

Congrats Drew! Funny how at this stage even "everything leaking" can't wipe
the smile off your face, isn't it!!!

Drew, this is great. I'm glad all went well. This enthusiasm keeps a guy like
me going.

What prop have you got and what pitch are you changing it to or from?

Hi Murray I've a 70" three blade warp drive prop. I set the pitch so long
ago I can't remember what it is but I need to turn it back about 2 degrees
I think. I'm only turning 2450rpm on take off and my climb rate sucks. If I
remember correctly 1 degree pitch change equals 100rpm. Is this right?

Found when mine was on the 100HP Drew that 1* changed things about 70RPM.
Sounds reasonable that 100RPM on 150HP /degree would be about right.

I'm a flatlander Bruce. Elevation would be just under 1000' It's been
bloody hot here too over 30C everyday I've been flying I guess that's part
of the formula too. Good news is with my new oil cooler the highest temp
that I've seen is 190 degrees and it doesn't leak :)

Mines 130hp for 5min. at 2700 then I can run 2600 after that. I'll try 2
degrees and see if that gets me in the ballpark.
