Hi Bob,

What day is the Ramble intending to be at Arlington and where are you headed
after that?

I left the Rebel Ramble in Sandpoint, Idaho yesterday. Walter with his
Amphibs and I with Rebel N96HG met up with the Ramble at Arlington. We followed them
to Ellensburg, Washington and on to Sandpoint. We all where stuck at
Arlington until Monday due to weather but the rest of the trip through the Cascade
pass and the Grand Coulee Damn in Central Washington was spectacular.

Walter is flying on with the group back to Canada and his fuel/primer problem
seems to have been fixed thanks to Wayne's' suggestion to check the primer
seal.

Bobp was kind enough to loan me his spare tire tube for N96HG as I managed to
get a flat and blocked the ramp to Isle 5 at Arlington for 6 hours on
Saturday morning. All attempts to find a replacement at Arlington failed. I was very
thankful that Bob was resourceful enough to carry a spare, as they are really
a golf cart tire and tubes as supplied from MAM and not available from normal
FBO's. Thanks again Bob.

Bruce N96HG

Hi Gord !

Sorry to hear about your medical.

I'll bet there are a few potential Ramblers with lots of
taildragger time who would be happy to fly with you in
the L-19 !! Rob ??? Anybody else ????
I'm sure a checkout could be arranged for someone
with enough experience ... Please think about it -
and pass this on !

What an opportunity ! If I wasn't flying the Rebel,
I'd love to Ramble in an L-19 !!!!

Drop Gord a note if you'd like to Ramble in an L-19,
as P1 !! We might get you along yet ..... ;-)

plan!!!

Cheers

And a related variation: how about max. angle at full power? (This

Query for those who are flying: what is the approximate maximum angle
above horizontal at which your Rebel will fly in powered slow flight?
I realize this may vary due to numerous factors, but would like to get
a handle on the general range.
