I'm almost finished my 4 door cowl. Wayne, thanks for all the pics, it did
make it a lot easier although the guy in my shop made the rear of the side
spline a little higher up.

I also made my air intake filter housing with the benefit of your pics also.

The vocabulary being rather restrictred at times I ask for a one number
reply if you would be so kind..

Is the scat tube to the oil cooler 3" or 4"?

Thanks for your assistance, once again

Murray

Three inch, but 4 wouldn't hurt either!!!

I flew a 2 hour 25minute x-country this morning to take my Step-father (and
Mother) out for lunch in Smiths Falls. I had the power wound up to 2600
trying to get there for noon and my oil temperature was running 215*F (which
is fine by me but a bit high for some that don't like to make sure all the
water is out of their engine!). The wind only blows out of the east at 25K
when you need to get somewhere in a hurray. 78K ground speed all the way
there and 125K coming back (only took 1hr 35min to get home and I dog legged
to buzz my uncles farm in Gooderham)

Ops, was supposed to be one word....good thing thanks to this damn list I
can type 200wpm!!

BTW can you remove your rocker covers without removing your side "spline"
with it higher up??

Wayne

BTW yes. The top of my spline is just below the top of the bottom bolt on
the rocker cover. If I had been thinking( to busy building to think) I maybe
should have lowered it at the front and back 1/2" which would have allowed
easier access to the rocker cover. BUT this engine is going to last forever
so why make a non issue a concern.( I won't put life on the line for it
though)
