You can obtain K&N filters from Performance Improvements here in
Toronto and if they don't have the one you want it normally takes
only a couple of days. They also can get adapters to fit many
different cars ...which one if any would match the Lyc. O-320 i
don't know. I got a adapter for my soob tp match it to the mass
air flow sensor and because this was hanging out on the end of an
elbow I also welded up an additional bracket for support. here's
a summit page that lists a bunch of K&N filters ...mine is like
the very last one. If the following link overflows the line you
may have to put it back together manually to go internetting.

Well Brian, the K+N filter is a brand name of an air filter. It's been around in automotive circles and other "go fast" type of equipment for quite some time. I used them on my sand rail in the 80's. They allow for better airflow with better cleaning and it's a reusable filter. On the new Corvettes owner web page they speak of dyno tests showing 30+ hp improvement. Thats from the owners not the company.
I must admitt though the brackett p/n that I crossed into the K+N showed that it was from a 152, so maybe I was choking the air flow to begin with.

Will the K+N pad fit into a Brackett base, or do you have
to change the whole front end ?? Is the K+N filter foam, like
the Brackett ?? Anywhere we can see a photo ????

Cleaner air AND more power - sounds GOOOOOD !!! ;-)

Actually the whole bracket filter box and foam are tossed. The K+N is a pleated type material, and the box and filter are one unit. The company is Challenger aviation out of Ohio and they did have a booth at OSH last year if that's any help for the search. I haven't figured how to do the pic thing yet but I take alot of extra training anyway:):) The actual size is the same as the whole bracket asembly. They are a life time unit. You clean them and reoil them with a lite oil that is easy to come by through any automotive supplier that handles K+N. Easy to find in high performance stuff too. Curt N97MR

Thought I might be able to change before Rambling, but time
is getting short - we leave July 1st ! Guess I'll check them out
at OSH ....

Had K & N's on the previous/previous Rebel, with the 912 -
did replace them after about 8 years. Thought they'd suffered a bit
with all the washings....

Could use another 100 rpm on the Lyc. - and it does seem
to run a bit rich...

Your old 912 Rebel probably had a K&N filter on the crabs. That's how every
912 Rotax I've seen are set up.
