Nope!! I need something to read!!! To darn quiet on here lately!!

Think you'll have a hard time finding an oil cooler unit with inlets and
outlets large enough for your coolant hoses.

Anybody tired of hearing from me yet? Well, here's my next question for
the
learned members of the list. Is there any reason why I couldn't use an
oil
cooler or transmission fluid cooler for engine coolant? The reason I ask
is
that if any of the above could be used it greatly widens my options for
using something off-the-shelf for cooling when I get to that stage.

A (general rule of thumb) is that you need 1 sq. inch of radiator area for
every cu. inch of engine. NOT always true. You can have a smaller area IF you
have more rows in you're radiator with at least the same amount of volume as
a stock radiator. More is better even if it's just a pint. And GOOD intake
and exit air, that can be tricky sometimes. <A HREF="http://www.indussys.com/customer/motora ... motorad</A> Also check out the link
for a thermostat that's safe to fly with.

Some of the Subaru guys are using automotive air conditioning evaporators.
I think with your big engine you're going to need a lot more cooling than
that. Maybe you should look into what Orenda uses for their engines.
