SR2500 Tri gear

David, you mentioned a change to the tri gear. Was that a bulletin about
the nose gear bolts?? I can't find the email that someone mentioned it in.
There is a guy here that purchased a nose wheel SR2500 already finished and
I suspect he doesn't know anything about it. Could you pass it on if you
have it?

Thanks,
Scott

I heard today that Murphy has redesigned the landing gear for the Moose.

I know there was a change in the SR2500 trigear, which I've
received, but the Moose is strictly conventional, isn't it?

There was a gear vs CG problem with the trigear, so they had to
make new mains with the wheels a bit more forward. Nose gear bolt
bulletin doesn't ring any bells.

David, I found the email I was referring to. It was from Dave Qualley on
March 18, 2003.

Interesting that he got it in the mail but they don't post it on the web
under Service Bulletins.

I received the latest SB from Murphy in the mail today.

"Due to the failure of the attach bolts of the nose gear pivot yoke to the
front gear leg on a SR recently, these bolts have been increased in size to
AN6..."

Does anyone know anything about the failure that prompted this? How many
trikes are flying now?

SR2500 Tri gear

Hi Scott.. Sorry I didn't get a reply to you sooner but I was out of
town..

I can't find my copy of the bulletin anymore, but I went out and
measured the bolts that I just replaced.. They used to be AN5, and have
now been upgraded to AN6..

The bulletin didn't give any details of what prompted the change, other
than that a failure of some sort occurred on a trike..

I hope this helps.. If I find the bulletin I will let you know.. You
should be able to get Murphy to fax/email you a copy, as well as to send
the 4 bolts..

Dave
