Has anybody given any thought to the possibility that in a couple of days
the border may be closed?
Or that all general aviation flights in the US may be curtailed?
Or that this new Asian Flu may close down all large gatherings?

Elsie has cancelled her Spring trip to Italy. However we are packing our
trailer for the trip to SNF. Now if I can just find some cheap gas
someplace. Lets see, 6 MPG, 1800 mi round trip = 300 gallons X 2.00 =
$600.00. Man, that's enough money to keep Wayne in Pepsi for a couple of
months.

See you in Florida (It is 80 deg.F in Tampa)

Thanks Lonnie !

Several of us 'up here' have been giving these matters a
LOT of thought ! Having the border closed <after> we get down there
could be really tough - we'd have to stay in Florida for months !!! ;-^) :-)
(I'd love the sunshine, but others have to go back to work. :-) )

Anna is about 90% certain she will <not> be coming to S'nF,
and I'm just not sure either, at this point. Fortunately, we
don't have to decide definitely until the 30th, but it doesn't
look promissing at the moment....
Bummer - first S'nF we've missed since '88 !! :-(

I don't have a passport, and no inclination to stand in
the 4 hour lineups... Still not 'absolutely' necessary, but it
does sound like it could be at any moment - especially if there's
<any> terrorist retaliation action in the U.S. .

We do have a motorhome booked - sounds like you get about
the same gas mileage ! :-( We're not looking forward to the
5+ hour lineups to cross the border, either, especially if we
might get turned back at the front of the line. Right now, we're
really hoping that the first strike GOT Saddam, and that was
just a 'double' on TV !!

If we don't come, I'll have to find a way to buy that
first round of beer - or just save it for Oshkosh ....
In any case, have a beer for us if we don't make it - we'll be
there in 'spirit' !! :-)

Bob, if you head out today there is absolutely no line up or delay at the
peace bridge in Niagara Falls. Single cars at a time going across as
everyone is worried if they cross they may not get back home. Not sure if a
Motor Home can use this route though! Does anyone know?? I went across at
Buffalo on the way to DC in August and then came back on the truck route
beyond the falls. Both of these routes were tight enough with a 33' MH
pulling a car on a dolly. These routes today have a 3 or 4 hour back up of
trucks.

Sorry Wayne !

Can't leave until the 30th - John & Clive are coming too,
and they wouldn't be happy if we went without them !! ;-)
That's when John's holidays start ...

This is a 34' motorhome, and a challenge in any wind !
Suspect the long waits will continue for a while ... :-(

Hey Bob,

I can't speak for the flying, because I was not at the airport here
yesterday, BUT I did have to go over to Detroit on Thursday to pick up
some parts for our Rebel. Fastest border crossing I've EVER made. I
mean, there was NOBODY. It was quite amazing. I went expecting 3 or
4 hour delays both ways. ZIP. I literally was the only one at the
toll booths and the customs/immigration booths each way at the Tunnel.

Take care.

Brian Lawson,
Windsor, Ontario.

ps... Another Rebel builder and myself are still in the "we'll see
what happens" stage about Sun N Fun. His wife is not well. So I
would like to see a final posting about a Murphy get-to-gether time
and exact place (for those of us who have not been before).
