B&C oil filter adapter

Post by rebel » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:52 pm

Ralph,
The 1.4" spacer is also the one to use if using an O-320-E2D dynafocal
mounted Rebel. I posted pictures to the files here about 2 months ago. They
show a 1.4" wooden spacer that I mocked up before returning the 2.5" spacer.
With the 1.4", you will get 1/2- 3/4" clearance from the motor mount and
about 1" in the rear. When installing the 1.4 spacer and oil filter adaptor I
found B&C did not provide enough Locktite 518 in their kit. I had to buy more
but the sealant had partially cured on one of the gaskets when I set it down
on a piece of plastic overnight. B&C sent me a new gasket with assurances
that they would look at providing enough 518 when people order a spacer. The
2.5 spacer is about 1/2 pound heavier than the 1.4.
Good luck, you'll need it
Rick D.
