Hi Ralph !

I heard from Colleen recently that the only Murphy
presence at S 'n F might be Stephane, with the JDM-8, in the
HKS booth in the ultralight area - and only if he drags it
down there in a trailer .... soooooo ....

In Ye Olde Days, before Murphy started having company
parties, Anna & I used to host a Murphy Builders Get-Together
at the BBQ Restaurant just across & down from the FAA building,
right on the grounds -
They had food, and BEER, and seats under a tent - perfect !
I bought the first round of beer, and then you're on your own ...

I'd like to suggest we do that this year - likely
Thursday, at 4:30 pm on ... There are other social activities
on the weekend, but Thursday is not likely to be a conflict
for anyone, and 4:30 will put us slightly ahead of the supper
crowd rush. I'll buy the first round, as in the past !

(I'm open to alternative days, but we should all decide WELL
before the show, so everybody knows !!)

There <is> one <small> problem - if you go to Red Alert
because of a war, the border will be CLOSED !! (This has been
confirmed by emergency crews). So, if we can't get into the U.S.,
or they won't let us in without passports ..... I guess I'll
save the beer money for OSH (assuming the war will be over by
then ! ).

Of course, if it's Red Alert, there won't be any flying
at S'n F - or anywhere, for a while ! :-(

Hope it all works out, and we'll see you there !!

Gee Thanks Curt!! Could get expensive though, my wife buys me around 16 of
the 2 liter bottles a week. My next problem is bound to be diabetes! ;o(

I think the Cdn Pepsi's a little stronger on the caffeine and sugar than the
American stuff, just like our better Beer ;o)))

Don't think you have to worry though as I really can't see me getting to S n
F. Way too far behind and Leah has both Pneumonia and Pleurisy again. Add to
that the fact that the motor home can't go anywhere as I already had it
stored for the winter when the government advised me it had to have an
Emission test before they would give me a current year plate sticker for it,
so I can't do too much until spring is fully here.

Cheers,
Wayne

I'm led to believe that ALL of Ontario has to do E-tests as of last summer.
Last year it was odd model years and this year it's evens. And even though
the propaganda states less than 20 model years old they are going by
Calender years. My motor home is an old beater 1983 Southwind. Technically
it was 20 model years old when the plate was due December 31, 2002, but they
did the 2002 - 1983 and came up with 19. The 2003 models were already out in
the fall of 2002 so it should have been excluded. I'm going to see if now
that it's 2003 and I need a sticker if it's now excluded. If not I'll sell
it as it won't need an E test being over 20 years old and there is no way an
non catalytic 454 is going to pass Etest! The other option is a match!

What's all this about Pepsi, for Wayne? Is there a Canadian who doesn't
drink beer? I was led to believe that it was sort of a national obligation.
I'll bet if Wayne came down for Mardi Gras, that would change.

What's all this about Pepsi, for Wayne? Is there a Canadian who doesn't
drink beer? I was led to believe that it was sort of a national
obligation.
I'll bet if Wayne came down for Mardi Gras, that would change.

Hey Wayne, sorry it looks like a no go for you, although maybe the
warm
would do Leah good. I know it will me!! I hope she gets the best of
this
soon, and the offer or the cheep American pepsi is still on.

Sun & Fun Party

I haven't seen any definite decision on date, time, place for a Murphy
Group gathering so....

I vote for the Thursday, 4:30 PM at the Homebuilders BBQ near the FAA
building on the grounds.

How about a consensus so no one is disappointed and can plan ahead.
Thursday seems best to me as it avoids the potential big weekend crowds
that could make it difficult to sit as a group.
