Moose M-14 Cowl Flap

Yes it was one piece that spanned the bottom opening, they had added some
channel along the fwd bottom of the fuselage to hinge it to. The knob that
operated it was labeled "Carb Heat"... I suspect that has been changed,
that was right after they took the Lyc. out of it.

I'll send old picture, I'll have to go see if the Mowats newer one is
similar.

Scott

I miss spoke, it was the Red Mixture knob that used to run their cowl
flaps...

Hi Guys,

I seem to recall MAM had a cowl flap on the exit of their round cowling.
Can any one confirm, do we plan for a cowl flap?

Thanks,
Don B

Yes Don, the picture is available through Mowat's website. They have so many
pictures on one page it can take a life time for them to upload though. I
think I copied the picture to my computer so will have a look and send it to
you and post to the archives if I find it.
