I checked the archives and I had indeed loaded a picture of the cables I put
on Charles Dixon's Rebel, to Rebel - Misc. As the picture was washed out on
the lower connection area I uploaded another picture of the set that I put
on Mark Morin's (ex John Bruno's) Subaru powered Rebel, before I had tied
the cables off to the struts. You can clearly see that the cables are hooked
to the opposite side at the top and at the bottom the cable tang is bolted
to the outboard axle retainer bolt.

The tangs I have been using are from a box of NOS steel Norseman Aircraft
parts that I am running out of a a quick pace, as I have been using them for
ski cables as well. Anything will work as long as it's at least .063 thick
(.090 would even be better). MAM's tangs for the 1800 floats would work okay
as well. The cables I have been using are 3/16 diameter.
