T-18 Nose bowl

Hi Guys,
I'm interested in aluminum / nose bowl cowl and I'd like to see the
differences between MAM's nose bowl and the T-18 nose bowl look that
I've been hearing so much about. Would anybody be able to point out
some pictures of an installed T-18 or even give me some names of
builders who have this cowl. Bob P. told me about Rick Harper's but I
can't find any pictures of his airplane in the archives. Any help would
be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Clay,

We've got a fellow here with a flying T-18, and he is also building a
second one in his shop. If you don't "hear" from anybody else,
gimme a shout back, and I'll see about getting some photos.

Take care.

Hi Rick,
I received a few pictures of your airplane from Bob P. shortly after
sending the message to the group, but please send what you have. I
think your cowl looks great ... actually your Rebel looks great!
Congratulations!. Did you have to use a prop extention for that bowl?
Do you see any dissadvantage in using that bowl over MAM's standard
bowl? I can see that the use of the standard bowl allows better
inspection and service access to everything and I hear provides better
cooling. Is that still the case with your nose bowl? Where did you get
the bowl (ACS?) and did you buy the cowl kit from MAM minus the bowl?
Thanks for your help.

Clay Smith

Hey Rick !!

If you don't mind, PLEASE send along a couple of shots of
the T-18 nose bowl - & the cowling open .... and post for everybody !!

There seems to be a LOT more interest now in the metal cowl, for
ease of maintenance ! ;-) :-) ( There's this guy who keeps
complaining about wanting a Rebel cowling that's easy to access !!) ;-^)

Thanks !!
