Oil Chip Detector

First off, thanks for all the replies on "Wheel Pants". I was suprised to hear
that in some cases they help and in others, they do not. I guess the trick is
to get them as tight and low around the wheel as possible. I will have to try
myself and see.

Next question I have is if anyone knows of a source for an "Oil Chip Detector"
that replaces the oil pan plug, other than the $250US ones? There has to be
something more reasonably priced. I am thinking this should give some real
good indications as to engine health, and if nothing else, buy you some time
to set it down safely. I will spend the money if I have too, I just thought I
would bounce it off the list first.

Thanks everyone
