Al, /first i bought a Lnear actuator, 500 lb torc with a 3 inch stroke ,
speed
10 seconds actuation time . I used two 1 1/2 angles on the right side floor
between the door post and the small window . ( it might helpto leave about 1
inch more room when cutting out the window) I didnt know I was going to use
elec flaps when i cut my window.I ran a 29 1/2 push rod up behind the door
post to a 6'' bellcrank. I beefed up the area on the wall in the area of the
bellcrank with 1/4 inch plate al witch I tied to the two bulk heads . Where
the horn from the flap assembly comes down I welded a 5" horn to the rear
and
cut off the one that comes down. Thats 5" from the pivot point to the rear.
I
tied that horn to the other end of the bellcrank with a 3" push rod. With
the
assembly together I get 37 degrees of flap. Thats about it in a nut shell.

Les, thanks for the info on your flap system. Does the actuator stop
automatically or does it free wheel when it gets to the end of the stroke
(like the older Cessna flaps)? Al Paxhia SR026

Al, the actuator free wheels at the end of the stroke. In my driveway it
works
real good. I dont see any reason it wont work as good in actual use. I
shoud
know for sure in a month or twoI,m waiting for my engine mount from Murphy
now. Also my cowling.
