Digital Cameras, Was: Re: SR2500 FLAP SLIDER DISPLACEMENT

Can I offer a suggeston on cameras? Take a look at the Olympus C-2100UZ, it
has a 10x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 38 - 380 mm) with built in
stabilization. I bought one of these about a year ago and I am quite pleased
with it, so much so that I left my (heavy) SLR & lenses home on my last vacation
(down under). Stay away from their C-700 though as the picture quality is not
as good even though it also has a 10x zoom.

price is about $539 US

$900CDN last year.
I chose to buy a digital camera last year only because this one could offer the
optical zoom capability to approach my SLR. After seeing the camera, a
co-worker also bought one.
