Tail wrap needed?

I have heard and read a lot about the need for a 2nd tail wrap on the Rebels.
My rebel is #300 but it has the gusset plates and fuse 88s installed. Also, I
complied with the vertical tail post service bulletin. It has a fiberglass
spring and a Murphy tailwheel.

I am hesitant to drill all those rivets out to wrap another sheet of .032
there. On the other hand, it is much less work than to tear it apart after it
fails.

The question I am asking is: has anyone seen a side wall fail with the gusset
plate, fuse 88s and tail post plates?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not so much the side wall as it is the area between the tail post and the spring attach bulkhead that will buckle and crack without the extra .032 wrap put over top.
