Hi Curt

That was a very good answer re: the contest of building the slowest Rebel.
I
must admit that my kit was delivered a few weeks later than yours, and, also
that I have inched ahead of you. My wings are done I have to admit and
there
are wheels and doors.

But I have great faith in my ability to work slowly and am fully confident
that you will finish ahead of me. Therefore I will get the prize... there
is
a prize for this I hope.

Seriously, I thought about welded tanks for quite a while. I could not come
up with anything that would not cost a lot in terms of time and weight. I
was
intimidated by all the comments about wet wings. However, I must say that I
would do wet wings all over again if I built say a Super Rebel, (which I am
thinking about). They are not all that bad at all if a few changes are
made.

I too waited for a diesel but finally gave up. Zoche never materialized but
they keep teasing us about 150 HP @ 185 lbs. The only problem with diesels
is
that nobody is saying when they will come or how much they will cost.

Anyway, happy slow building!
