Try filling it with sand and plugging the ends before you bend it. Or find an electrician with a hydraulic bender with a 1 3/4' shoe.

You could try to locate a local shop with a mandrel bender. Most people
seem to buy prebent elbows or U's then start dicing and welding. Some
guys tack it together for someone else to weld. If you need a source I
think Kinsler Auto or Burn's stainless are two companies that have web
sites.

I've heard that packing the pipe with sand or metal shot may help a bit
when used with a pipe bender but I will dice and slice when I get to my
exhaust.

Every body I know of in the racing industry builds there headers the way Ken explained. Starting with doughnuts, U's, and straight pieces. Cut tack and weld to achieve what they want. If done properly and polished up they look good.

Thanks again Phil
Thats how I was planning to do it, but I was going to do the bending. I was not aware that you could buy it pre-bent. Unfortunately, We don't get much exposure to the racing world up here in Northern Ontario
