G'day Chuck

Now that's a really nice program.

I have found that 240F = 115C!

Just when are the Americas going to change to metrics?

Ian
FYI , Canada has been metric for more than a generation

It's just that American bull headiness. And the behind the times educational system where they skip you through it but don't enforce it. You know (It was good enough for my grand pappy it's good enough for me, It works for me so why should I change.) I don't mean to insult ANYBODY, but that's the way it is. It is changing SLOWLY with the younger generation, all the laboratory's, and most machining & R&D shops.

Well since I have children and grandchildren the big conversion of the US to metric started 3 generations ago. There was a big push on how we were going to change, educational efforts began, manufacturers talked about converting... Lasted about a year if I remember correctly and we continued on our merry way.

Aviation weather reports converted about 2 years ago and I have to get my cheat sheet to figure the temperatures. (Old dog and new tricks)

From a hardware standpoint I think the US is slowly converting because of imports. I went out at lunch to buy a larger metric wrench to work on my General Motors truck built in Canada with parts from other countries using the metric system in their manufacturing operations.

I remember a push in the 70's, when I was in grade school, to go to the metric system here in the US. It sure is an easier system. I suspect we will never "officially" change though.
