Despite reaming the inside of the outer rudder pedal assembly tube, the
inner tube is pretty tight. Tight enough that I would think the brakes
could stick since the tube can't turn freely. Do you have to sand off the
black paint from the inner tube? Ream the outer tube more? What have you
all been doing?

My Tubing was also tight, I used a grinding stone (of aprox. the same size
as the ID ) from a die grinder mounted on a 1/4" shaft with a compression
fitting to hone the inside of the offending tube (I believe that it was
slightly distorted at a weld point). Worked like a charm.

I had the same problem near the welds. I reamed the inside out by using a
long piece of steel tube and a had drill with a piece of 80 grit taped to
it. Worked great. Then used a finer piece to smooth things up in there.

After all that I ended up not using them. I had some Cessna style pedals and
master cylinders that I installed instead so I have a master and slave set
up.
