Thought I'd go ahead and forward this to the list... wish this was the 3.3L,
I'd buy it!

Subject: Subaru Engine

Hi Mike,

I have a Zero time Eggenfellner built 2.2 liter Subaru Legacy Aircraft
engine. I originally purchased it for a Kitfox but for family reasons I
never
got to finish my project It is a direct drive 2.2 liter 90 hp (at 3200
takeoff RPM). Addition of eggenfelners reduction unit brings it up to 135
HP.
It is ready to bolt onto a Kitfox firewall and Start up. The mount would
probably only work on the KF but that woudn't be a great challenge to
change/modify. Must see to appreciate (have a number of pictures I can
e-mail
to interested parties. This is a very nice engine and I need to recover at
least half of what I have invested. $6500 to $7000... might consider a
partial trade for something to help recover part of my investment. If you
can
help me get exposure for this I'd very much appreciate it. It is complete
with
prop and spinner.

It is with great sadness that I must sell my 2000 EJ25 SOHC aircraft
converted engine. The engine has been converted for aircraft use by
Don Parham with RFI and has a beautiful direct drive unit built by
Don along with a new lightweight alternator, rotated intake
manifold, reworked wiring harness and cam grind. I also have 2
inline electronic fuel pumps to go with the sale. The engine will
put out at least 125 HP at 3600 RPMs (per Don) with the direct drive
setup. With a PSRU this setup will yield close to 200 HP. The total
weight of the engine with starter and alternator is about 210lbs
(not including radiator, coolant or exhaust). My reason for selling
is that of a financial one. As some of you may remember I was
planning to put this engine into my VariEze. I am asking $3500.

thanks,
Doug Miner
