Turning into a hassle to get the 890 A brush able type proseal. I just
talked with Brian at MAM and he said they just thin the 890 B with Acetone
to a brush able consistency. Has anybody done this? Results okay??

Dear Scott,

I thinned with MEK and it worked great. It brushed on smoothly with an acid
brush with bristles cut back a bit. The working time is much reduced however,
once the solvent flashes off.

My comment would be......PRC Desoto , the manufacturer recomends not thinning their proseal products. I personally spoke with their chemist and he told me not to thin. Why ? I did not ask. I found their brushable very brushable. Usually ships quicker than they say when you order.

Scott,

I have. It seems to work just fine. I mixed the Proseal components
together first and then added the acetone. It takes a long time ( +/- five
minutes ) to get a consistent mix and it takes a lot LESS acetone than you
might initially think.

I may try calling the office out east. The western US is serviced through Phoenix. After faxing a bunch of worthless info back and forth I still don't have an "account" set up to order. Also their price for the B2 is more than Aircraft Spruce.
