You can use the rivet gun to pull those rivets - just turn the air
pressure down to about 20 - 30 lb for the first pull. Crank it up after
you've pulled them ALL snug, and re-pull them to snap off. The EASY
way to do those fuel tank skins !!
Hi Bob, FWIW I did exactly that on my second wing and ended up with FIVE
leaking tank rivets. On my first wing I pulled them by hand and had NO
leaking rivets. Go figure...

Also, as I mentioned last week at the meeting, if you use your pneumatic gun
to pull proseal filled rivets, you can ruin your the head of your gun if you
do not get it totally cleaned out. It is not worth the risk.

I also agree, my BIG brother pulled all the tank rivets. We had ZERO leaks
on
both sides.
