What are the product numbers on the two types of proseal and where are you getting them? I have some p/s 890 B, which I assume is the putty type?

Scott,

Short answer:
PS 890-B2 (fillet)
PS 890-A2 (brushable)
My supply was direct from my airline and the Middle East Desoto rep.
Hopefully someone can give you a local contact.

Information on PRC can be obtained at <http://prc-desoto.com/>
links here to pdf data sheets on all their sealant products.

PR1422 & PS890 are the standard PRC DeSoto fuel sealants. Although there's many
others as well from PRC Desoto alone.

PR1422 base is Brown, PS890 base is white. both hardeners are black
Mixed 1422 is dark brown and 890 is black

Little difference between these two, 890 is Boeing spec, 1422 is Airbus spec.
Both are good for kerosene, gasoline and alcohol based fluids.
HOWEVER, 1422 & 890 are not compatible without using a special primer.

Type A is for rivets (thinnest)
Type B is for fillets (thickest)
Type C is for faying, which is skin to skin (not so thick or thin)
These subtypes are compatible with each other within the main stock number.

Last digit is application time at 70'F.
+10'F halfs time, -10'F doubles time.

Order B4 or greater if you can.
