Ken,

I don't know what the size of the skylight doublers are but I know the newer CD manual has a diagram with the cut out dimensions for them.

The large rectangular roof windows are held in with doublers so nothing more needed. The oval windows near the flap handle are openings in the cabin roof that allow a view through the upper windshield. Guru Wayne has said doublers are mandatory around the oval windows or there will be cracking. We added them to our Elite as it is much easier during construction before the windshield goes on.

You are correct that the MAM doublers have a rabbet stamped in. The rabbet allows the plastic to lie flat against the cabin roof as well as the frame (doubler) to lie flat on the cabin roof. They also have #40 pilot holes drilled to make installation easier. Only rivets and a sealer on both sides of the plasic is required in addition to the plastic and doubler.

I have two of the MAM rectangular doublers (no window material) surplus as added shoulder harness attachments preclude their use. If anyone is interested in them email me at rebaker@sc.rr.com. Then I will ask "finder wife" to search them out. If you are in the US it will save considerable shipping cost.

Howdy,
Which side have you all been installing the window doublers on? Inside
or outside? Looks like they could go either way and the manual doesn't
say. What do you think looks best? Thanks..
