Colleen,
Will there be a Murphy builders dinner at Oshkosh this year?
Lonnie

Hello Lonnie,
No, we are not having a formal dinner as in previous years. We plan on attending the Watermelon Social at the float base on Saturday evening. Last year we attended and all of the customers seemed to like the more relaxed atmosphere.
Have a great time at Oshkosh!
Colleen

Hi All,

Last year the builders got together on Friday evening at the fish dinner the food vendor for the base puts on.
The Watermelon Social (WMS) is on Saturday night . Last year Friday was selected because the fish dinner, though well attended and can run out of fish, does not have the 500 plus that attend the Watermelon Social (maybe a couple of hundred at the fish dinner). Aprox. half those that attend the WMS can be seated at one time.

I believe last year there was a conflict on Friday with the International Dinner that several of the builders like to attend. Getting together on Saturday this year would eliminate the conflict.
My only concern is how the size of the WMS could effect our ability to sit as a group and share what builders share.

I will work at having a place for the Murphy Builders to sit together without "putting out" the other attendees.

SO LET'S HEAR IT ... WHO'S GOING TO MAKE OSHKOSH 2002

To Don and other MAM builders of SR3500's

Well, as regards Oshkosh, S/N154SR's poor humble builder will be there all week. We will be running the Yak booth and have a cut away M14P engine on display if you want to see what makes her tick (rumble). One of the factory engineers who speaks reasonable English will be there. Bring your M14P engine questions and feel free to pick up a CD with M14P parts, service and instillation info. ( the CD is free) I we are in main Display Area (outdoor booth) 1 & 2 this year. It will be listed under the name of Aerostar.
