My wife told me that she wanted me to have 1 of those "pretty blue things
with the airplane in it" in my panel ... so, I guess I'll just have to buy
one. Has anyone bought that imported AH($346 US) from Aircraft Spruce? Are
you happy with it? Are you using a venturi tube? Any info would be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Clay

Clay, one in mine since 1995 running on a 9" venturi along with a DG (also
the import one) and have no problems to date. Same installation in Bob's XWI
running on a Vacuum pump and A okay, as well as 2 others I have done the
panels on with the same instruments. The savings vs buying the Allen, or
similar, will pay for some of the other instruments.
Cheers,

Here's something new I saw at Arlington for those who like e-gadgets on
their panel, and want to save space and weight.

Tony, we should never argue with our wives ...! I called ACS to order the AH
and discovered they were back ordered for another week or so and the current
price is $329US, which is actually lower than the catalogue price. I think
I'll wait until Sept. when I visit the US on business and bring it back with
me along with some strobes and an ELT.

Hi Clay !
Since you have some time, you might want to call
Aerospares and ask about their new line of Falcon Gauges - they look
good, and the price (in CDN $$$) might surprise you !!! Just found
out about them last week ... they have several useful instruments
which are great for homebuilts.
Aerospares (Tom Smith) 1-800-268-2196 or 905-671-2781

Different Aerospares than the one Bob is talking about (that is located on
Tobram Rd. in Mississauga, Ontario), but good site anyhow as I am looking
for a replacement fuel pump to get rid of the French ones that are on the
UTVA's!
