Hi Walter..

Are you just going down for the day, or for the weekend? We'll be
driving down on Friday after work and camping on the field until Sunday.

Look forward to finally seeing your plane..

Walter, Steve,

Great to here you guys plan on being in Arlington. I would
very much like to see your planes. I sure missed you all
last year while I was still building but it's never to late.
Maybe you can park your planes together. I plane on being at
Arlington Friday about 1:00 and all day Saturday. I'll
introduce myself.

I have first flight scheduled for the 23 of July.

Dave, I will come back either Friday evening or Sat morning. I will bring a
tent, so could camp overnight by the airplane.

Walter,Bruce & Dave

Look forward to seeing all of you on Fri /Sat. The Murphy factory was flying the Moose all day today. It's quite a performer, and it has a great sound on takeoff as it rattles the doors to my hanger.

Now Walter, I believe you have a fiduciary relationship to all Rebel builders
and should have your float plane at Arlington for them to see and examine.
Not to mention the rest of the public. After all, 15 or 20 of the other east
coast Canadians are coming all the way out west to support us!

What ever you decide, I hope you get you fuel problem figured out and your
confidence back. Taking a long trip with your latest engine out experience would
rattle me too. I hope to see you at Arlington.

Hey, Bruce, I thought I did my duty last year. I'll see
when the Ramblers get here. I think they will be in
Chilliwack next Thursday or Friday.

I will try to put my Rebel through some hard paces
again this weekend. I just had one other nagging
problem appear. Now it's my radio. For some reason, my
transmission seems to be getting weaker and has a lot
of static. I hear fine and I don't notice a problem
when on the mic. However, my local controllers tell me
they have trouble hearing me, especially beyond 5
miles. This won't stop me, though, as I do have a
handheld that I use on the ground and can be a back-up
in the plane. It is an Icom A5, and should work in the
plane as well. I will probably try it this weekend,
too, just to be sure.

Anyway, should be a fun couple weeks coming up.

Just got back from Arlington on Sunday with Bruce Georgen who
came back to Canada with me. And for Bob P.'s information, Bruce
just proved that you don't need a transponder, birth certificate,
or passport to get in. Wouldn't recommend it, but it obviously
can be done. Will see what happens when he tries to back...
Anyway, we're just flying around locally here for a couple of
days and then heading up to Nimpo.

I saw about a dozen or so Murphy craft, 4 Rebel amphibs, a few
Elites, some Mooses/Super Rebels and a Maverick. I will post some
pictures next week, or when I get some time. It was the usual
Arlington event, nothing like Osh or Lakeland, but small/friendly
and you get to know a lot of people that you run into every year
there. Saw lots of planes that I would like to have, but can't
afford. Lots of neat small ones, too. The Murhpy gang was there,
of course, and we all got together for a little dinner and fun on
Saturday evening.

Hi Scott,
You have probably already heard but here are the Moose and SR's that we saw
and who we visited with:
Al Paxia in his SR on floats
Bob Howell in his Reno Moose
Larry Springer in his new Moose #252

Also talked to some builders: Larry Lukinbill from Montana, Tom Liptrot
from Canada, and Miguel Nelson from Cameron Park, CA.

Arlington was a lot of fun but complete mental overload!!
