I'm thinking about ordering the combination Nav/Strobe 156-0039 Df (double flash) from Aeroflash. Has anyone had problems with these lights, and does the 10 joule output seem bright enough? Also, is there a sync wire running from left to right or are the flashers independant? No response yet from AeroFlash. Thanks, Clay

Clay, That is the same system I put in my Rebel "652" and am very happy with them. Easy to install, I mounted each power pack on the main wing spar just inside the end rib. This way you can unplug the light if you remove the wing tip. They have not created any radio interference and I am only using a wired in hand held radio with its own antenna inside the cockpit. They have two power packs and run independent of each other. I do not night fly (yet) but they are plenty bright enough in my opinion and I run them all the time for the added safety. If you can be seen, you can be avoided. (I hope)-Bob J

Clay, the Aeroflash tip power packs are the way to go with the Nav/Strobe/position light units on the tips. Great people to deal with if you do have a problem as well. I have had one power supply die (most likely from lack of usage by the owner and loss of polorization) and other than the cost of postage to send their way it cost nothing and no questions asked. Fixed, returned prepaid, no bill and no value for customs purposes as well. I personally think they are just as good as Whelen, although maybe not quite as bright, but at about half the price I can live with that!!
