Rebel carburetor heat

I didn't have it on my 912 powered Renegade Spirit. Never had any problems, including when I flew through heavy rain once. By the way, flying an open cockpit bi-plane through heavy rain is not recommended. Raindrops at 60 knots feels like you're being repeatedly shot with a BB gun.

G'day
Do I need carby heat on a Rotax 912?
What experience do those who have a 912 have?
Regards
