3M Marine Sealant

Post by Aurele Lavigne » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:04 pm

Someone recently mentioned they used a 3M product to repair floats and quoted product number EM 3500. I checked with 3M and they have no such product. A local rep in Toronto is checking with their tech dept. and one product being looked at is "5200".

Can however anyone confirm what the product was exactly. I know Wayne uses Sikaflex 1A and I did manage to get some a while back but since it has a limited shelf life a minimum quantity is required and any unused is virtually waisted.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I'll post whatever info I get from 3M as well.

Thanks, Aurele

P.S. Anyone have or know where I can get my hands on a Scott 3200 tailwheel, cheap !!!

Also, is there a good product to rejuvinate the fabric on the Rebel's controls and minimize U.V. detoriation.

That post was followed by a correction confirming that it should have
said 5200.

Thanks for the clarification, I guess I missed the correction to your
original note.

Are you sure it's 5200 and not 1200, this is a U/L !!!
(ei: 3500 for the moose... so on and so on)
