Hi Brian !
No limit on numbers - we never know if we'll have 10 people
or 70 !! Best to bring along a folding lawn chair, though, as seating
can be limited. We all manage to squish in somehow !! :-)
The clubhouse isn't toooo big, but we try to have enough coffee, tea,
bagels, cream cheese, & donuts for everybody !
By all means, bring the others along if they want. I sold both
those Rebel kits to your club and the school, though a very generous
gentleman I met at an airshow one evening, and would really like to
see them flying ! It sure seems like it was a LONG time ago !!
Certainly, all of the builders who come to the meetings are
very willing to help any Rebel/SR builder with anything they can -
that's the reason for the meetings !! These guys are VERY inventive,
and have come up with many brilliant solutions to problems some builders
haven't even got to yet - everything from air vents to 'seaplane' doors !!
Brian Cross actually thought up the current method of attaching the
fuel tank skins and wing skins so the tanks can be completed and
tested easily - and he did the CAD drawings and sent them off to
the factory, so we ALL benefit. We all do what we can - Wayne O'Shea
has come up with several 'fixes' that many are using, and he even
makes up the parts & supplies them to other builders (you probably
should get at least SOME of his fixes - like the firewall plates !).
It might be a bit late now, but you should search the email archives
here for the "Ontario mods" that most of our group have evolved as
"standard equipment" - if you can retro-fit them, you'll definitely
avoid some grief later.
Everyone has contributed to the ProSeal solution - for some
years now we have had work methods that produce a well-sealed, secure
tank that will never leak. Generally, if the wet wing tanks are done
properly, and don't show leaks within a few months, they will NEVER
leak, as the ProSeal stays flexible virtually forever, and won't
crack like a welded tank, or a rubber bladder. This really IS the
best way to build fuel tanks, and virtually EVERY manufacturer
does this now, including Vans, the military, Boeing, and even Cessna !
If you want to come a bit early, there are some Rebels on
the field you can look at ....
See you on Sunday !

Hey Bob,
OK. Thanks for the reply. As of last night I hadn't heard anything
"official" to my posting, so I've just now come down-stairs to find
your phone number from a previous reply, so Thank You.
Is there a limit on who/how many may attend? I ask that because I
assume that most Rebels would have one or two builders, while ours has
.....ummmmmm........(taking off my socks).....well, more than two
anyway, but I have no idea how many would wish to come along. Me for
sure, but if more are welcome, would you like us to "register" with
you?
There is a second Rebel being built in the a couple of hangars over
from us. May I contact them with all this info too? They probably
have their own communication with you, but I would ask, or pass on any
info.
Thanks again.

Hi Brian !
The Rebel Builders of Ontario meeting is on Sunday, March 10th,
at 1 pm, at the RAA-TR Clubhouse at the extreme north end of Brampton
airport (CNC3). Everyone is welcome. We serve (free) coffee, tea, water,
donuts & bagels ... and often go out for beer & pizza afterward ! :-)
We have builders from as far away as Cincinnati, Michigan, Ottawa,
and others, at some meetings - some drive, some fly, - you never know
who will appear !
Hope you can make it up. If the weather's good, we'll have
a few fly-in visiting Rebels. I'll have a full notice to post in
a day or so - I'm still trying to line up some people for specific topics,
as discussed at the last meeting....
It will be good to see someone from Windsor - it's been several
years since anyone was up, and they seem to have gone off the rails
and done almost everything that they were advised NOT to .... maybe we
can get you on course so you can get that Rebel FLYING !!! :-)
See you Sunday !

Hey group,
I hear via the grapevine that there is to be a Rebel "meeting" March
10, 2002. Is just anybody allowed or welcome? If the answer to the
question is yes, or even maybe, can somebody get back to me with
information like:
Where (exactly, and remember we're from out-of-town)?
When, and for how long?
Registration required? Cost?
If not Registration, then a contact person or host?
Anything else we should know or consider?
TIA
