It looks like a couple of other guys saved me the trouble of looking up the
O-320 engine with the bad reputation. Just wanted to let everyone know that
it was not my intention to be a rumor-monger. Just wanted to make sure
everyone was aware of a known problem with a particular engine that could
certainly still turn out to be a fine engine with the problem having been
addressed.

Regarding the oil pump gear AD: This AD applied to a lot more engines than
the O-320 "H". I don't need to tell you that an AD search and confirmation
of compliance prior to purchasing any engine is a good idea. Now where can
I find out about known problems with aluminum block V8s? Or Suburu E33
series engines for that matter?
