Jamie, I'll give you my 2 cents worth. Requirements, requirements and
requirements. Make sure you know what you want and how you will get from
two 15 foot long shipping crates (SR2500) to a finished airplane. Murphy
offers a one day builders forum that gives some hands on experience and the
Murphy folk will answer questions all day. If you can attend it's well
worth the time and expense. The RV folks have a similar forum and you may
want to follow up with any other kit that has your interest. I had to
prioritize my requirements and draw a line at what I could afford and what
I thought I could build. Fly lots of airplanes, talk to other builders and
pilots. If you can, take a demo flight in the airplane you think you want
to build.
Good luck,
Al Paxhia SR026
