In case anyone is waiting (or like me was hoping to get one ASAP), below is
a factory reply to the question of availability of a FWF kit for the M14
radial. I was hoping to get one sooner than that (because I know that
mid-march will become April/May) for fitting my M462RF radial to my SR3500
(that I won't be calling a "moose"!), but I may have to do my own R&D.
"The radial powered demonstrator was brought into the factory just before
Christmas break. It's engine installation has been torn down and we are
currently working on putting together a "Firewall Forward" package for the
radial engine. We are hoping to have it available around the middle of
March, sorry no idea as to the cost at this stage of the game."
Also, if anyone viewed the "Christmas" picture that was posted on MAM's
site, the SR in the picture sporting a Lycoming and a large set of truck
wheels/tires was actually mounted to the wheels. It thought it may have been
a "staged" picture, but the wheels were attached to the gear legs! Some more
R&D that is NOT AVAILABLE!
Regards,
Wayne G. O'Shea

SR-Radial Installation Kit
I was told TODAY (Sunday) by Colleen that it was R&D in the works (along
with the disappointing FWF radial package info) and that she likes to stay
out of such things until they tell her it is ready to be sold!!!!
Hope the meeting went well today, with a good turn out, but it was snowing
and blowing at about 60 klicks up here thus my "no show"!

SR-Radial Installation Kit
We missed you - and several other 'usual suspects', but had
a good crowd and a good meeting !! The wind sure didn't help !!
We had a visitor from Cincinatti - the newest Rebel builder !
Rob Sexmith just ordered yesterday !! He took a bunch of digital
pictures, and may post them up to Rebel Misc. .....
(I may have to supply names later - or not, to protect the guilty !) ;-)
We'll be making a small change in the format - got several
good suggestions for topics to focus on for one section of the
meeting. Still looking for more !! Some of the good ones were:
insurance, engines, inspection problem areas, and wiring ...
I'll try to line up guest speakers or just a forum format for
these and any others you guys come up with.
Dunno ..... Mike, is there enough interest in some of the
goings-on up here to merit a separate section on the Rebel Files
area ???

Takes less than 5 minutes for me to setup additional file areas... just let
me know what you need. I can create file groups as well, or just include in
the existing groups (rebel/elite/etc).
