To Greame & Britta Weck : I purchased an Odyssey PC1200 dry cell for my
Rebel. It is 38 lbs but I needed the weight in the tail as I have an O320
160 hp without the firewall cut back. I placed the battery half way down the
tail cone. My weight and balance came out great, the battery cranks the
engine over great, and being a dry cell (sealed) I did not need venting. The
Odyssey,s are quick on recovery or recharging. (as I found out one day after
cranking without the fuel turned on.) Unfortunately I cannot comment on the
smaller versions.-Bob J.

Graeme. The Odyssey PC625 is quite small and if I remember right only weighs
about 12 pounds. I still have the carton, from the one I mounted on
Charles's firewall, so I will check the specs on the box next trip out to
the hanger and inform if I'm wrong with the weight.

Thanks for the replies guys,I am going for size/ weight like all I
suppose.The UB13 is around 3.2in x 5in x 7in x 10 lb I have cut back the
firewall 3 in, placed elt and strobelight unit down the back also
replaced the murphy tail wheel with a scott 3200 hopefully to balance
the 0320 and metal prop, placing the battery on the lower right or the
firewall My problem is where to source the battery from
